THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY, playing in Broadway Palm's Off Broadway Palm Theatre, is a delightful tale about four women who transform from strangers to best friends through weekly gatherings on a Savannah verandah. Whether they're dealing with struggles in relationships, work, or simply the side effects of getting older, these women help each other through it all. This show was brought back to The Off Broadway Palm because of popular local demand, and after having the chance to see it, I definitely understand why.BWW Review: RING OF FIRE at Broadway Palm Has Rhythm! May 26, 2018
Broadway Palm's production of RING OF FIRE gives audience members the chance to learn about Johnny Cash's life while listening to over 30 of his iconic songs. At the beginning of the show, the entire cast introduces themselves by saying, "I'm Johnny Cash," and from then on they each take turns telling stories of his life, through both song and dialogue.BWW Review: HEATHERS at Florida Repertory Theatre is 'Big Fun!' May 25, 2018
Florida Rep Education's production of HEATHERS, directed by Kody C. Jones, brought to life the very funny, dramatic, iconic show--and it was 'Beautiful.' HEATHERS is a fun show, absolutely, but it is also very real. It tackles a lot of issues that are prevalent in today's world, such as bullying, teen suicide, gun violence, and much more. Florida Rep's Education program more than did justice to the story of this production, and I would absolutely recommend stepping into the 'Candy Store' and seeing it as it plays through this weekend.BWW Review: MURDER IN PARADISE at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre May 21, 2018
Florida Rep's GEORGE WASHINGTON'S TEETH, written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Abigail Zealey Bess, will have you laughing and learning in this fabulous world premiere comedy about the New Bunion Historical Society and their struggle to keep their historical museum open.BWW Review: MY FAIR LADY at Broadway Palm is Loverly! April 14, 2018
MY FAIR LADY at Broadway Palm was an incredibly delightful, very lovely--or should I say Loverly--production. Broadway Palm has once again brought a classic story to life on their stage, and they did a spectacular job (as they always do!). From the gorgeous costumes, to the fun musical numbers, to the funny, heartwarming storyline, this is not a show to be missed.BWW Feature: MARY POPPINS at North Fort Myers High School April 14, 2018
If you are looking for a wonderfully well-done, dark and layered storyline, with some very fun and slightly scandalous musical numbers, I highly recommend Florida Rep's CABARET. CABARET is a very popular, well-known musical for a reason, and Florida Rep's version of it is outstanding. Get your tickets to see this fantastic show before they are gone!BWW Review: SCAPINO at Gulfshore Playhouse is Fresh and Fun! March 12, 2018
Florida Repertory Theatre always manages to bring an inspiring sense of wonder to their stage through their productions, and they proved this again with THE MIRACLE WORKER. They brought together the well-known, classic true story of Helen Keller and her teacher, phenomenally talented actors, a beautiful set and costumes, and, with a little bit of their Florida Rep magic, created a show that is not to be missed.BWW Review: MAMMA MIA! at Broadway Palm is Fabulously Fun! February 17, 2018
Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre never fails to transport you to another world with their productions, and MAMMA MIA! is no exception. From the familiar storyline of MAMMA MIA! and songs of ABBA, to the fun costumes and choreography, this show is one of the best productions Broadway Palm has brought to Southwest Florida.BWW Review: NIGHT AND DAY at Florida Rep is Delightfully De-Lovely! February 2, 2018
I absolutely recommend you see NIGHT AND DAY before it leaves Southwest Florida; this show is most definitely going places, and I promise that you do not want to miss the opportunity to say that you saw it premiere at Florida Rep first. Between the fantastic singing, acting, and dancing, the beautiful costumes and set, and the beloved classic music by Cole Porter, I guarantee this show has something for everyone.BWW Review: HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES at Florida Rep is Clever and Comical! January 24, 2018
HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES was absolutely one of the best shows I've seen at Florida Rep. From the brilliant acting, to the hilarious storyline, to the uniqueness of how the Fosters and Phillips' lives were portrayed on the stage this is not a show to be missed. I highly recommend seeing HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES if you're looking for an afternoon or evening full of smart humor and fantastic, lighthearted entertainment.BWW Review: THE PRICE at Gulfshore Playhouse January 19, 2018
If you are looking for a more low-key play that makes you think about the conflicts between obligation, desires, time, and money, THE PRICE is absolutely for you. Gulfshore Playhouse manages to bring to life a complex, compelling show that many people will be able to learn something from. Every aspect of this production was thought out very well, and I encourage you to see it if you are interested in experiencing an intense night of theatre.BWW Review: CHICAGO Razzle Dazzles The Audience at Broadway Palm! January 7, 2018
Florida Repertory Theatre's production of THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO was an absolutely charming show. There were many funny, lighthearted moments throughout the show, but there was also a good amount of tension between characters, due to differences in their faith. It was a unique and very beautifully done romantic comedy.BWW Review: THE MOUSETRAP at Cultural Park Theater November 29, 2017
Cultural Park Theater's production of THE MOUSETRAP, despite clear efforts from the cast and crew to put on a good show, felt a little off.
