Review: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at The Fisher TheatreOctober 3, 2025A tale as old as time has been reimagined for the stage; Beauty and the Beast returns to Detroit at the Fisher Theater now through October 12. The story we all know in love is performing on stage through October 12. Get your tickets here. Beauty and the Beast is a story of falling in love with someone for who they are inside, not judging a book by its cover. This show, based on the classic 1991 animated film, was also the first Broadway production for Disney. I loved seeing the show reimagined in a new way.
Review: BEETLEJUICE at The Fisher TheatreAugust 12, 2025IT's SHOWTIME! Beetlejuice the frightening fun musical has returned to Detroit! The demon you know and love is haunting the Fisher Theatre this summer. Review: THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR at Nichols ArboretumJuly 2, 2025The Merry Wives of Windsor began with a musical interlude from the company of the show, as well as one of the merry wives herself, Mistress Page, played by Nicole Arruda. The show was scheduled to perform at the Nichols Arboretum outdoor amphitheater. Still, due to inclement weather, the performance was moved inside to the Keene Theatre located on the University of Michigan's campus inside East Quad.
Review: LUNGS at Tipping Point TheatreMay 16, 2025This show takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. It included several monologues on the climate crisis we are currently facing. Kristin Shields's character describes the environmental impact of having a child, which can result in tons of CO2 emissions yearly. This production raises the question of adopting children, planting trees, and recycling. LUNGS will make you laugh and may even make you cry, but what stuck with me the most was that it made me think and feel for the future. I love a show you can't stop discussing with friends and family. LUNGS will definitely be a conversation starter at your next dinner party. I highly suggest seeing LUNGS at Tipping Point Theatre.

The themes throughout the show, from generational disagreements to being true to yourself, create a narrative that is deep and thought-provoking. I was simply enchanted by the depth of the performance.
Review: SOMETHING ROTTEN at The Farmington Players BarnMay 14, 2024This was my first time attending a performance at The Farmington Players Barn Theatre. The local talent of these performers blew me away. My favorite performance of the night came from Hannah Haigh, who portrayed the wife of Nick Bottom, Bea Bottom.
Review: #SISTERSINLAW at Royal Oak Music TheatreMay 14, 2024This show was not only very informative on many political topics but these women bring a powerful presence to the rooms they fill. The crowd was absolutely loving every word that came from these feminist icons. I must confess I was a first time listener but I was enticed to download several episodes on the way home.
Review: RADIUM GIRLS at Smith TheatreMarch 20, 2024Based on real events, Radium Girls focuses on the young 14- to 15-year-olds who were working in these U.S. factories using paintbrushes. In their exacting work, the girls went from paint to lips to watch-face to keep their brushes tight and pointed. What wasn’t known? The radium poisoning was killing these young workers in an excruciating manner.

Marie struggles with her anger and loss in a tense and often funny play that deals with the opioid crisis.
