The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, MI, presents Murder on the Links. The classic Agatha Christie novel turned stage play is brought to life in a new, exciting take on a classic Whodunit. I had the great pleasure of interviewing Ruth Crawford, one of the ensemble members of Murder on the Links at The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, MI.

Fiddler on the Roof follows Tevye, a poor milkman in Anatevka, and his five daughters who choose love over arranged marriages, challenging Tevye’s beliefs about faith and family.

Lucky Stiff is a musical comedy that felt like the perfect combination of Weekend at Bernie’s mixed with the play Noises Off. It was funny, zany, and completely unpredictable.

Do you want to see a show with some of the most exciting and breathtaking stage combat you’ve ever seen? Do you want to see a cast perform some of the most buttery smooth vocals currently on tour? Then I implore you to get tickets for The Outsiders performing at the Fisher Theatre through March 15th. Run, don’t walk, to get your tickets because this show is the one that you will likely walk away with your jaw on the floor.

it’s hard for me to pick a favorite performance of the night, but if I had to pick one that stands out, it was when Brandon Armstrong and Britt Stewart danced to Hit Me With A Hot Note And Watch Me Bounce. Every season, I see these two get criminally overlooked on the show! Brandon Armstrong is a star on and off the dance floor.

The national touring cast of Hell‘s Kitchen arrives at The Fisher Theatre. Hell’s Kitchen features pop hits from Grammy Award-winning Alicia Keys. Hell‘s Kitchen is a story of a young girl growing up in Manhattan trying to chase her dreams, find love, and navigate the city.

Doris Walker, played by Ellie Baker, was the star of the show, and in more ways than one, her angelic voice and quick wit really played into the fast-talking talking powerful female, Macy’s exact executive, her child, and charisma was matched only by The Man and Red himself. Kris Kringle brought joy and magic to the role of Santa Claus; his calming singing voice and father-like charisma made me, as a 33-year-old, believe in Santa Claus once again. I love the chemistry between Susan Walker, played by Charlotte Surak, and Fred Gailey, played by Truman Griffin.

You know him and love him from his illustrious TV and Broadway roles. Morrison made his debut on Broadway in “Footloose” but his big break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit “Hairspray.” Morrison was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in “The Light in the Piazza,” He also starred as “J.M Barrie” in the musical “Finding Neverland.”

A tale as old as time has been reimagined for the stage; Beauty and the Beast returns to Detroit at the Fisher Theater now through October 12. The story we all know in love is performing on stage through October 12. Get your tickets here. Beauty and the Beast is a story of falling in love with someone for who they are inside, not judging a book by its cover. This show, based on the classic 1991 animated film, was also the first Broadway production for Disney. I loved seeing the show reimagined in a new way.

IT's SHOWTIME! Beetlejuice the frightening fun musical has returned to Detroit! The demon you know and love is haunting the Fisher Theatre this summer. Beetlejuice tells the story of a grieving family moving into a haunted house that has twists and turns you have to see to believe. Like the song says I hope you're ready for a show about death!

The Merry Wives of Windsor began with a musical interlude from the company of the show, as well as one of the merry wives herself, Mistress Page, played by Nicole Arruda. The show was scheduled to perform at the Nichols Arboretum outdoor amphitheater. Still, due to inclement weather, the performance was moved inside to the Keene Theatre located on the University of Michigan's campus inside East Quad.

This show takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. It included several monologues on the climate crisis we are currently facing. Kristin Shields's character describes the environmental impact of having a child, which can result in tons of CO2 emissions yearly. This production raises the question of adopting children, planting trees, and recycling. LUNGS will make you laugh and may even make you cry, but what stuck with me the most was that it made me think and feel for the future. I love a show you can't stop discussing with friends and family. LUNGS will definitely be a conversation starter at your next dinner party. I highly suggest seeing LUNGS at Tipping Point Theatre.

I was enthralled in the whole show, and I promise you don't want to miss this show when it's in town. You don't want to look back and regret not seeing Hadestown while it's in Detroit.

I have to commend Ryan Noggle for bringing the story to life in such a unique way. I would also like to point out Neil Berg's score and the songs written for the show.

Ryan Noggle describes the core of Pete Rose's career highs and ultimate downfall: 'I loved the idea that what made Pete great was the same thing that made him crumble. Which was the desire never to give up and fight to the end.' It was his greatest asset and his biggest flaw.'
