April Sigler

April Sigler

April is a Jersey girl now living in the Triangle with a lifelong love for theatre. If she wasn’t in rehearsal for one of the many productions she was involved in, she was taking the train into the city to rush as many Broadway & Off-Broadway shows as possible. With a major in Theatre Studies and minor in Musical Theatre, she’s been onstage, backstage, and run front of house. Outside of theatre April loves her two kitties, board games, and trying every monthly flavor at all the local ice cream spots.

LEARN MORE ABOUT April Sigler

First Show:

The Lion King! It was a surprise for my 10th birthday. I got to go backstage and see all of the puppets and everything, and stand on stage - it's what sparked my love for theatre.

Favorite Show:

My top 3 would be Next to Normal, Spring Awakening, and Into the Woods! I have to specifically call out the Deaf West production of Spring Awakening. The interpretation was so beautiful and brought the already meaningful material to a whole new level.

Favorite Stories:

  • STEREOPHONIC at DPAC - This is my very first article for BroadwayWorld! And my first time experiencing Broadway at DPAC. It was a really special night with a special kind of show. I was very proud that it earned a spot in BroadwayWorld's round-up of top news, reviews, and interviews from March 2026.

Stereophonic, the most Tony-nominated play of all time and winner of 5 Tony Awards including Best Play, offers a compelling fly-on-the-wall look at a 1970s rock band recording their next album. With strong performances and music that feels like a character of its own, the show immerses you in the creative process, even if its scale and runtime occasionally soften the intimacy.
