The Huntington Theatre Company presents the brilliant classic comedy Tartuffe by Moli re, directed by Huntington Theatre Company Artistic Director Peter DuBois (Sunday in the Park with George), translated by Ranjit Bolt, and featuring actor and comedianBrett Gelman (Murray Bauman on the upcoming season of Netflix's Stranger Things and Dinner with Brett Gelman specials on Adult Swim) as Tartuffe and Tony Award winner Frank Wood (Side Man and August Osage County on Broadway and HBO's Flight of the Conchords ) as Orgon. For the second year in a row, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) will host the musical show, Techapella, on Wednesday, November 29. The annual showcase brings together a cappella groups comprised of tech employees to showcase the best vocal ensembles in the industry. This will be the first time Techapella is presented at the SFCM campus. (In December 2016, SFCM hosted Techapella at the Curran Theater in San Francisco.) Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 85th season with Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize winning comedy-of-errors, HARVEY. The play is co-directed by veteran directors Jerry Hurley and Steve Bell and will be presented onstage October 28th - November 18th. Performances will take place at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell with curtain at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays. For more than 20 years, we at Verge Theater have been bringing live entertainment and theater education to the Gallatin Valley. One of our proudest accomplishments is the Teen Theater Program, an inspiring and exciting after-school program that is the perfect place for creative teens. Three times per season we offer this intensive workshop experience, and our Fall session is traditionally devoted to a musical involving teens in grades 6-12. The teens have been working with Director Liam Mayer and Assistant Director Jaelyn Silvey (two former Teen Theater participants themselves!) since September to create another exciting show! (more...)
