Jarrett Winters Morley is a BroadwayWorld Award-winning Music Director, Producer, Composer, and Performer. In 2021, Jarrett founded his production company JWM: A Theatrical Company, which produces free, accessible concerts, history concerts, and teaches the history behind Broadway shows around the country. Instilled by his parents, Mr. Morley is an active supporter of the arts in the educational system and providing access to the arts. In 2024, in the role of Artistic Director, Jarrett and JWM: A Theatrical Company reached their current pinnacle in producing Hello, Dolly! On The River/In The Park, a free, accessible outdoor public performance of the 1956 musical with a 28-piece orchestra, 16 vocalists, accumulating over $30,000 in sponsorships, including the support of Francine Pascal and Freddie Gershon. These performances were made available to the public in Sutton Place Park and Central Park, and had over 1,000 audience members in attendance.
Prior to his collegiate years, Jarrett studied as a member of the performing arts program at Stagedoor Manor and as a student in the National High School Institute (Cherubs) at Northwestern University. At Northwestern University, he was given the opportunity to be in the first non-professional company of Charles Mee's The Glory of the World. He has performed at the Oscar Hammerstein II Awards, honoring Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, alongside Norm Lewis, Randy Rainbow, and Robert Cuccioli. He has also performed at Rockefeller Plaza's Rainbow Room alongside David Loud. Mr. Morley made his film debut in 2005 with the documentary Class Act, which explored the need for increased funds in America’s school systems, and the disappearance of the arts. Other TV/Film credits include: The Meyerowitz Stories, Pose, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, New Amsterdam, Mr. Robot, The Deuce, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Manifest, Hunters, The Plot Against America, Billions, and American Horror Story.
In 2021, Jarrett began his Broadway History Teaching Circuit, which has since expanded to over 25 locations in 8 states and Washington, D.C.. He is the creator of the original theatrical works Morningside and Godless. For Morningside, he wrote the book, music, and lyrics, worked on the show as the music director and conductor, and it was the first student-written Musical Theatre production produced by Manhattan School of Music in their 100-year history. Mr. Morley has worked as a Music Supervisor, Production Coordinator, Junior Associate, and Voiceover actor for the production company Creative Business Communications, which in turn has worked for corporate clients such as SL Green, Johnson & Johnson, and Wakefern Food Corporation. In 2021, he worked on the development of “Get Happy: Michael Feinstein Celebrates The Judy Garland Centennial”, alongside Elliott Forrest, John Fricke, and Michael Feinstein.
He received his B.M. from Manhattan School of Music in 2020, and his M.A. from Berklee College of Music in 2021. He lives in New York City. Mr. Morley is a proud member of both The Dramatist Guild of America, and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). Mr. Morley’s works have been seen at the Rogue Theatre Festival, FringePVD, and the New York Theatre Festival. In 2022, Mr. Morley was a Fulbright Program finalist and is SAG-AFTRA eligible. Most recently, he developed and produced The History of Into The Woods at 54Below, which explored the inspiration and background behind the Stephen Sondheim/James Lapine 1987 musical of the same name.
Mr. Morley’s past produced shows with his production company include Carousel On The River, The History of Into The Woods, South Pacific On The River, My Fair Lady On The River, Hello, Dolly! On The River, The History of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, The History of Godspell at 54 Below, and Blank: An Ode To Broadway’s Black History, Together Again…Again!, and Being Present: Celebrating Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month at The Green Room 42.
