Gilbert Kim Sancha is the Chief Critic and Host of BroadwayWorld Philippines/Asia, where he delivers expert reviews and incisive commentary on stage productions and live performances across the region.
As the Lifestyle & Entertainment Editor of Simpol.ph, Kim oversees premium editorial content across two dynamic pillars. Within the lifestyle sphere, he curates stories celebrating refined living and global experiences, with a specialized focus on pageants, hotels, resorts, aviation, and the culinary arts. On the entertainment front, he covers film, television, theatre, music, and pop culture, championing the performing arts while offering thoughtful perspectives that resonate with both local and international audiences.
Prior to his current roles, Kim served as a multimedia journalist and host for the Daily Tribune. There, he reported on the intersections of arts, pageantry, and fashion, conducting high-profile interviews with industry leaders and producing in-depth cultural features on major entertainment events.
A graduate of Far Eastern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Kim is currently advancing his linguistic skills through Spanish studies at Instituto Cervantes de Manila. Fluent in Filipino, English, and Spanish, he engages diverse audiences with a distinctly global outlook.
Beyond his editorial work, Kim brings substantial "page-to-stage" expertise to his critiques, having worked behind the scenes in production and stage management for numerous theatrical productions and live events.
