A native of Mobile, AL, Julie Gardieff developed a love for theater when her mom made her learn a song from “Cats” (before she could read) to audition for Oliver. She spent much of her youth and adolescence doing community theater at Playhouse in the Park. She then went on to attend Florida State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature with a minor in music.
She has been living in the Central Florida area for more than twenty years where she has taught varying levels of English/language arts, reading and drama. As a teacher, she has become a theater director where she established the drama program and International Thespian Society troupe at her current school. She has also been involved with various community and youth theater programs in the Central Florida area as well. In her spare time, Julie likes to go to the theme parks with her husband and teenage son, spend time with her cats, read and diamond paint. Follow her on Instagram @juliepgardieff!
