The Summit Playhouse Presents Boeing Boeing by Marc Camoletti, translated by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans. Set in 1960s Paris, Boeing Boeing is a non-stop, high flying farce which tells the story of Bernard, who has Italian, German, and American fiancees who are all airline stewardesses. Bernard must juggle timetables, while his maid is constantly changing photographs of the women in order to ensure his three fiances never cross paths. 'Footloose' follows a Chicago teen, Ren McCormack, who recently moved to a small town where dancing and rock music have been banned. As he struggles to fit in, he also fights to change the minds of the conservative Reverend Shaw Moore and the entire town. The music is written by Tom Snow with lyrics by Dean Pitchford and additional lyrics by Kenny Loggins. This past weekend, interACT Theatre Productions presented 'Sister Act The Musical' at The Baird Community Center in South Orange, New Jersey. The musical is based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Maggie Smith and Kathy Najimy. The musical, written by Cheri & Bill Steinkellner, opened on Broadway in 2011 and closed after 561 performances. Although the musical does not utilize songs from the film, the musical score is comprised of both fun and heartwarming songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater.
