Welcome to the School of Theatre at Florida State. As one of the top-tier theatre training programs in the nation, the School of Theatre challenges its students to grow as artists and individuals as they explore the world of theatre and where they fit into it. The School provides its students with a wide variety of theatrical and educational opportunities. The primary mission of the School of Theatre is to offer students a comprehensive education in theatre and to prepare emerging artists to enter the professional theatre industry. As a result, the School of Theatre provides both student artists and community audience members a diverse array of productions that explore the spectrum of our shared humanity. Florida State has an internationally recognized faculty known for their outstanding teaching, creativity, and professional experiences that daily enriches the students education. Our students’ achievements are remarkable. Each year, many of our students receive awards and scholarships for their artistry and academic success. At the School of Theatre, we encourage our students to dream and take chances with their dreams. We invite you to share in that journey with them as we explore the world of theatre. We also invite you to visit our beautiful campus, schedule a tour, observe a class, or attend a performance.
