Next On Stage, Broadway's biggest national competition for high school and college students, is back for Season 6 and bigger and better than ever! Tune in tonight, November 14 at 7pm ET to find out who makes the Top 30 in both age groups!

Here's what comes next: following the public vote, the Top 30 High School and Top 30 College finalists will be announced on Friday, November 14. The Top 30 show will not include feedback from the judges. Top 30 finalists will NOT be required to create a new video for the next round of voting. 

On Monday November 17, public voting will reopen to determine the Top 15 in both age groups. On Friday, November 21, the Top 15 will be revealed. The students who make it to this round will receive feedback from the judges and will be required to submit a new video for the following week. More details will be sent to finalists following the Top 15 show.

What is Next On Stage? In Spring 2020, when Broadway was dark and student productions across the country were being canceled due to the COVID pandemic, BroadwayWorld saw an opportunity to shine a spotlight on young performers across the country who were otherwise sidelined. Next On Stage was born out of the hope of providing a platform for some of the outstanding talent that will grace the Broadway stages of the future. Since its launch, the series has enjoyed five seasons and showcased the voices of thousands of young people across the country.

Prizes for Season 6 include the AMDA Emerging Artists Scholarship, the Atlantic Summer Teen Conservatory Scholarship, a vocal lesson with Matt Farnsworth, an MTI rental certificate for your school or college, a work session with casting director JImmy Larkin and more!

All finalists will win a trip to NYC, two tickets to a Broadway show, and perform on stage at the finale at 54 Below!

Season 6 Schedule: 

Submission Guidelines:

-The deadline to submit is October 20th, 2025 11:59 PM ET.

- Do not use a track with backing vocals. You must be the only voice in your submission.

- Do not submit past videos from performances in full productions or recitals. Videos should be 'audition/self tape' style, with you in front of a flat background if possible and a steady camera, filmed horizontally (the wide way). Videos should be updated to YouTube as an unlisted or public link. Please avoid uploading videos as 'Shorts.'

- Do keep performances to an audition cut, around 1 minute in length.

- High School submissions are limited to those ages 14-18 and graduating 2026-2029. 

- College submissions are limited to those ages 18-23 and graduating 2026-2029.
