It's obsession at first sight. And no obstacle or (ugh) girlfriend is going to keep Theresa from being with him. She’ll ruin relationships, sabotage dates, push people out of the closet—mixing and matching her clients until it’s just Wonderful and her. Forever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. Bullets Over Broadway in Broadway BULLETS OVER BROADWAY
Music On Stage
2/10-2/25/2018
Written by Woody Allen Based on the screenplay for the film, Bullets over Broadway by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath Original Broadway Production Direction and Choreography by Susan Stroman David Shayne is a straight-arrow playwright who plans to stand firm against compromising his work but quickly abandons that stance when his producer finds a backer to mount his show on Broadway. There's just one catch, however: the backer is a mobster who sees Shayne's play as a vehicle for his ditzy, talent-free girlfriend. Throw in an aging diva, a savant hit-man and a bevy of beautiful chorus girls, and this is one Broadway show that is sure to knock 'em dead. Bullets over Broadway is a love letter to the Golden Age of Broadway, filled with unforgettable songs that audiences remember and love! Loaded with big laughs, colorful characters and the songs that made the '20s roar, Bullets over Broadway The Musical is bringing musical comedy back with a bang. Based on the screenplay of the acclaimed 1994 film by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, this six-time Tony-nominated musical features existing hits from the 1920s, including "Let's Misbehave," "'Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness If I Do" and "There's a New Day Comin'!" ?BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International, 421 W 54th Street, New York, NY. 10019 ? I Puritani in Broadway I PURITANI
Lyric Opera of Chicago
2/4-2/28/2018
Of all opera composers, none glorified the human voice more than Bellini. His final opera was I Puritani, in which a soprano, tenor, baritone, and bass can truly revel in some of the most thrilling vocal music ever written. Opera companies produce this work only when they can cast fabulous singers with masterful techniques and superb style. Bellini places them within a sweeping historical drama in 17th-century England, in which a passionate young couple find themselves caught up in a conflict between opposing political factions.

The Garbo The Musical in Broadway THE GARBO THE MUSICAL
Athenaeum Theatre, Studio Two
2/17-3/17/2018
Considered by many to be the greatest film actress of all time, Greta Garbo had an image of androgynous glamour. A worldwide phenomenon in her glory days, she shunned the limelight. Dissatisfied with the scripts Hollywood offered to her as her natural beauty was beginning to fade, she retired from the screen at the age of 35 and eventually became a recluse in Manhattan. Set in the mid-1970s, THE GARBO THE MUSICAL finds her in the middle of a nightmare with two of her obsessed long-term lovers: the Spanish-American poet, playwright, screenwriter and adamant lesbian of her day, Mercedes de Acosta; and the acid-tongued, witty, gay British theatrical designer and photographer to the stars, Cecil Beaton. This Victor/Victoria-esque trio – all played by Gabrielle - unfolds Miss G’s spicy and revealing story and answers all the burning questions the world wanted to know about “The Garbo.” Thirteen scintillating songs and humorous monologues make this one-woman musical insightful, fun, and compelling.

Yank! A World War II Love Story in Broadway YANK! A WORLD WAR II LOVE STORY
Pride Arts Center - The Broadway
1/11-3/18/2018
YANK!, originally produced off-Broadway in 2010, is a love song to Hollywood's "it takes one of every kind" platoon flicks and to 1940s Broadway. Suffused with songs (swing, big band, boogie-woogie), it explores what stories get told in wartime, and how WWII became the great catalyst in bringing gay men and women together. It’s the story of Stu, a scared Midwestern kid who gets drafted in 1943, and who – like most guys – spends Basic Training wrestling with fears of whether he “has what it takes” to make it in the Army. But unlike most guys, Stu falls in love with a fellow Private in his squad, a handsome All-American guy named Mitch. When Stu later strikes up a friendship with Artie – a self-assured gay reporter for Yank Magazine, Artie shows Stu a glimpse of the gay world that thrived just beneath the surface of the US Army in the 1940s.
