Spring Awakening is an exhilarating rock musical about the trials and tribulations of growing up. The Tony Award-winning brilliant rock score and searingly emotional book take the story of youth revolt and self-discovery into a new century. Headstrong Melchior and naive Wendla stumble into each other's arms, while anxious Moritz struggles to live up to the stringent expectations of society. With only each other for guidance, this group of young men and women travel together through the fraught and rocky path of adolescence to adulthood with poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. This landmark musical will electrify you with the show's fusion of morality. WARNING: Spring Awakening is Rated R. It contains mature/sexual language, themes and content not suitable for children, including human sexuality, abortion, and suicide. Parents and their high school aged children who have open conversations regarding these subjects will find this show gives opportunity for meaningful dialogue, and are recommended to attend. He uses his powers to enforce his will on his enemies and allies alike. This production will take a fresh look at this romantic, comedic, dramatic play about the purpose of power. Outdoor summer shows are free and open to the public, though donations are encouraged and vital to the continued success of Actors’ Theatre. Reserved seating available.
