Real-life married couple Paige Davis and Patrick Page will star in a special engagement of I Do! I Do!, the classic Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt musical based on The Fourposter by Jan De Hartog, in The Old Globe's new Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre. The well-loved classic, by the creators of The Fantasticks, spans five decades in the life of a married couple - from the nervousness of their wedding day to the wisdom of old age. I Do! I Do! will run Dec. 11 - 20, 2009. Previews take place on Dec. 11 at 8:00 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 2:00 p.m. Opening night is Saturday, Dec. 12 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale to subscribers only. HOW TO BE A GOOD ITALIAN DAUGHTER, a play written and performed by Antoinette LaVecchia, will begin its recently-announced 8-week extension Off-Broadway on Thursday, October 29 at 7p.m. at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre in Manhattan. The production is now scheduled to play through December 9, 2009.

'LOVE, LOSS...', Starring Chenoweth, Daly & More, Plays Limited Run Off-Bwy; Tickets On Sale - 12/13/2009

Following a series of sold-out readings last spring, LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, an intimate collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, will play a 12-week run at New York's Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street). Preview performances will begin on September 21, 2009, with the opening night set for October 1. The announcement was made today by producer Daryl Roth.

Following a triumphant December 2008 benefit concert, ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) and Sh-K-Boom / Ghostlight Records have announced the album release of 'New York City Christmas.' In addition, ASTEP will present a concert to celebrate the release of the CD on December 14th. The evening will feature Broadway stars Sierra Boggess, Andy Karl, Tyler Maynard, Lindsay Mendez, Orfeh, Tory Ross, Anya Singleton and Sally Wilfert.

NBC Kicks-off Holidays with 'Sing-Off' Competition Series - 12/14/2009

NBC plans to spend the holidays with a new music competition series. Network sources have confirmed "The Sing-Off," in which a cappella groups compete for a Sony Recording Contract, will premiere Monday, December 14 at 8:00/7:00c. Additional episodes (all at 8:00/7:00c) will also air Tuesday, December 15 and Wednesday, December 16 with the season finale on Monday, December 21. Each installment will run two hours.

Liv Ullman Talks Streetcar at Paley Center - 12/14/2009

Liv Ullmann, living legend of cinema and theater, has just directed a production of A Streetcar Named Desire that stars Cate Blanchett and opens at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in November. While Ullmann was preparing that production, a documentary, The Sealed Orders of Liv Ullmann, captured her mentoring young actors through scenes from this same Tennessee Williams play. The Paley Center will premiere this film by four-time Academy Award nominees Kirk Simon and Karen Goodman, on December 14 at 6:30pm at The Paley Center for Media.
