Lynn Nottage's play Ruined won Outstanding Play at the Drama Desk Awards, Best Play at the New York Drama Critics Circle Awards, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Additionally, she received the Playwriting award at the Obie Awards for Fabulation. Intimate Apparel earned her the Best Play award from the New York Drama Critics Circle and the John Gassner Playwriting Award from the Outer Critics Circle Awards.
