Hatbox Theatre
8/8-8/8/2017
TALES TOLD: JULY’S THEME- HEAT The Hatbox Theatre and Tales Told Productions presents, Tales Told- Authentic Voices Sharing True Tales of the Human Experience, on Tuesday, August 8 at 7:30 pm, at the Hatbox Theatre, 270 Loudon Road, Suite 1161, Concord, NH. Tickets are $16.50 for adults, $13.50 for Students and Seniors, Under 18 not permitted. Tickets available online at hatboxnh.com or at the box office. Inspired by The Moth, True Stories Told Live. Do you have a true tale to tell? Craft a five minute soliloquy of your firsthand experience centered around the evening’s theme, Fireworks. A tale that contains a conflict and a resolution that will allow the audience to share the journey with you. Practice it so that you can remember it without paper (no notes allowed) and to keep it on time. Come to Tales Told at the Hatbox Theatre and put your name in the hat. If you are one of the lucky audience members picked, you will have five minutes to wow the crowd with your adventure, remembrance, or lesson learned. If you are not picked, sit back and enjoy the tales. You will be on the edge of your seat, you will laugh out loud, and you will gain a new perspective. What more could you ask from a show? Featuring Debra Ballou, professional storyteller and educator. Visit our website at www.talestoldproductions for more information. Get Your Tale On!

The Whole Shebang/Bob's Date in Broadway THE WHOLE SHEBANG/BOB'S DATE
Hatbox Theatre
8/4-8/13/2017
Lend Me a Theater brings two one-act plays to Hatbox Theatre “The Whole Shebang” by Rich Orloff: This play asks the question, "What if the entire universe was just some nerd's science project?" In a classroom in a dimension far beyond ours, a student striving for a "Master of the Universe" degree gives an oral presentation on an unusual thesis -- the creation of the heavens and the earth. Two professors and a dean interrogate the student and his two visual aids, a "typical" man and woman. “Bob’s Date” by John Shanahan: Bob is going on his first date in two years. All of his manly inner attributes—Logic, Confidence, Nerves, Libido, and Bull—are gearing up for the event. Then, a love-at-first-sight moment wakes long-sleeping Emotion and she threatens to throw the night into chaos. But if the men weren't ready to handle Emotion, then they're certainly not prepared to take on the Memory of the woman who broke Bob's heart.
