Scoop: TV One's ATL HOMICIDE Tries to Solve a Decade-Long Cold Case on 7/16

Veteran homicide detectives David Quinn and Vince Velazquez of ATLANTA PD didn't blink when they took on a decade-long cold case. They're sharing every gritty detail of the story on TV One's new show ATL HOMICIDE on Monday, July 16 at 10/9C. The compelling true crime series will drop viewers smack dab in the middle of the murder investigation with heavy recreation and narration from the detectives themselves.

When the skull of 11-year-old Alan Watson is found in a field, Quinn and Velazquez take on a cold case that took place almost a decade before. Talking with Watson's grandmother reveals that Alan's older brother was heavily involved with street gangs. This leads the detectives into the dangerous world of ATLANTA gang violence. With three different witnesses, all telling different accounts of what happened, the detectives try to find out who really killed Alan Watson.

ATL HOMICIDE is flipping the true crime genre on its head. Each one-hour episode will focus on one dramatic murder case told in heavy recreation. The audience will have a front seat to the action - as if it's happening in the moment - following two of Atlanta's most decorated Homicide detectives as if they were on the case in their prime. ATL HOMICIDE is produced for TV One by Wide Net Productions and Jupiter Entertainment.
