THE HEAT Out Sells 'WHITE HOUSE' in Fandango's 'Fanticipation'According to Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoing destination, "The Heat," starring the dynamic duo of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, is burning up the company's Fanticipation movie buzz indicator as the number one movie fans want to see this weekend, -- scoring an impressive 86 out of 100 points. "The Heat" beat out action-thriller, "White House Down," starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx, which scored 81.

Fandango's Fanticipation measures fan sentiment around the weekend box office line-up, and provides a solid gauge for which movies fans are planning to see in theaters. The numerical scores are calculated based on a proprietary analysis of Fandango's advance ticket sales, website and mobile traffic, and social media engagement.

"The Heat" is so hot that the movie is currently selling 50% more advance tickets on Fandango than the company sold at the same time in the sales cycle for director Paul Feig's previous hit, "Bridesmaids" and for star Melissa McCarthy's popular "Identity Thief."
