Where All The Rivers Go To Sleep, with music by Jesse Gelber and lyrics & book by Kate Manning, will be presented as part of NYMF. Directed by Randal Myler, with Music Director Dan Lipton and general manager Dan Whitten, the show runs July 18th at 8pm and July 19th at 12pm at the PTC Performance Space, 555 West 42nd Street.

Eric Sirota's Frankenstein-Inspired Musical DAY OF WRATH Comes to NYMF - 7/18/2015

"Day of Wrath" a new musical by Eric B. Sirota, based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, will be presented this coming Saturday and Monday (July 18 & 20), as an Official Selection of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival's Reading Series. 

The Barrow Group Extends THE PAVILION Through 7/19 - 7/19/2015

THE Barrow Group (Lee Brock and Seth Barrish, Co-Artistic Directors) announced today that due to popular demand, the limited engagement of THE PAVILION will extend at TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group (312 West 36th Street 3rd Floor). Mary Bridget Davies Returns in A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin at Pasadena Playhouse - 7/21/2015

The Pasadena Playhouse announced today full casting for A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin.  Conceived, written and directed by RAndy Johnson, with choreography by Patricia Wilcox and musical direction by Tyler Evans.  A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin stars Mary Bridget Davies, following her Tony Award nominated Broadway run.  Pasadena native Kacee Clanton, also from the Broadway production of A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin, will alternate the role of Janis Joplin with Davies.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Producer-Director Shane Anthony are pleased to present SONGS FOR THE FALLEN, with music and lyrics by Sheridan Harbridge and Basil Hogios and book by Sheridan Harbridge, direct from its hugely successful runs in Sydney and Brisbane in Australia, as part of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Sheridan Harbridge stars. Simon Corfield, Garth Holcombe and Basil Hogios are featured in the cast. Performances begin July 21 and BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

WHBPAC to Screen THE FAREWELL PARTY, 7/21 - 7/21/2015

As part of its World Cinema series, Westhampton Beach Performing Arts  Center will screen director Tal Granit and Sharon Maymon's bittersweet comedy, The Farewell Party, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 21-23 at 8pm.  The film is in Hebrew with English subtitles, is Not Rated and is 95 Minutes long. The hit off-Broadway Comedy, The Jackie Mason Musical currently running in its fifth year at St. Luke's Theatre (306 W. 46 & 8th Ave) will have its final performance of July 22nd at 2 pm and will be reopening at The Davenport Theatre (354 W. 45th & 8th Ave) on Saturday, August 8th at 8pm, followed by a 2pm matinee Sunday, August 9th.

11th Annual Rural Route Film Festival to Run 7/25-26 at Museum of the Moving Image - 7/25/2015

With a mission to highlight films that take the road less traveled, the Rural Route Film Festival returns to Museum of the Moving Image with its eleventh edition. From July 24 through 26, 2015, the Festival will feature nineteen films-from sixteen countries (and seven continents)-with filmmakers in person and live musical performances. Festival director Alan Webber said, "This year's Rural Route line-up has come together as an exceptional schedule of brand new films, in-person guests, and live music, with an emphasis on bold, independent women behind and in front of the camera (and instrument) that we're excited to showcase at Museum of the Moving Image."
