Review: & JULIA at Stage Palladium Theater, Stuttgart
by André Böke - Oct 12, 2026
What if Juliet chose herself over Romeo? Packed with Max Martin’s biggest pop hits, “& Julia” reimagines Shakespeare’s tragedy as a vibrant, witty celebration of self-discovery, queer visibility and female empowerment. Stuttgart’s energetic cast brings this feel-good musical to life.

Review: & JULIET Breaks Free From Shakespeare’s Ending in Vancouver
by Alyson Eng - Oct 4, 2026
Before & JULIET even officially began, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre already felt like it was getting ready for a pop concert. A glowing pink sign sat at the centre of the stage while instrumental versions of songs that would soon make their way into the show played in the background. For one of Broadway Across Canada’s most anticipated stops in Vancouver this season, the packed theatre seemed more than ready for what was coming. Then again, it’s hard not to feel at home when you already know most of the soundtrack.

Review: RENT at Bucks County Playhouse
by Marakay Rogers - Sep 10, 2026
As the group Straight No Chaser sings, 'Five hundred twenty five thousand choirs have sung this... thanks to the writer, we all leave sad.' Without detail - yes, true. Jonathan Larson died before opening night of his own show about death and dying and drugs and rent strikes, leaving a show that feels unfinished and indeed sad. His death is part of the mystique of the show, but it's also the problem - what might another month of retooling have brought about?
