20th Annual Bob Blazier Run For The Arts to Benefit Raue Center
Raue Center For The Arts has announced the 20th Annual Bob Blazier Run For The Arts. Runners are encouraged to don the jersey, sweater or uniform of their favorite Chicago sports team and run for Raue Center!
The 5k and 1-mile walk/run honor the unparalleled community accomplishments of Bob Blazier and benefits Raue Center - a 501(c)3 organization. Show your Chicago team spirit and help preserve the arts in your community at 8 a.m. on May 7, 2017!
The 20th Annual Bob Blazier Run For The Arts 5k and 1-mile walk/run begin and end outside of Raue Center. Show your Chicago team spirit and help preserve the arts in your community all while enjoying a run through the beautiful and historic area of downtown Crystal Lake!
All participants in the 5k and 1-mile walk/run will have a chance to win fantastic Chicago sports themed prizes and the overall race-winners will take home a coveted Bob Blazier Bobblehead! Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female winners, age category winners and the individual who collects the most pledges.
Show even more spirit by getting a team together and participating in the Corporate Challenge! The challenge is designed to help companies foster healthy lifestyle choices and a commitment to wellness, all while participating in a fun and exciting competition. Get a team together for a shot at winning a coveted Bob Blazier Bobblehead! The judges will award "Bob-Bobbles" to the teams who win the following categories: Greatest Overall, Most Money Raised, Most Chicago Team Spirit and Best Average Team Time.
Early bird registration runs through April 24, 2017 and is now open at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake. Early bird registration is $35 and includes an entry into a raffle for prizes including a signed Butkus jersey, an autographed Bears photo, tickets to a Brewers game and more! Registration after April 24, 2017 is $40 and includes a t-shirt and a swag bag.
