Story And Craft Hour Announced At Fort Caspar Museum

Join us for Fort Caspar Museum's monthly Fremont's Story & Craft Hour on Saturday, April 14th from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. First we will read a children's book aloud, then participants may make an art project inspired by the story.

This month's book is "The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush," retold and illustrated by Tomie dePaola. The Indian Paintbrush is Wyoming's state flower. Listen to a retelling of the Indian legend that explains the origin of this bright red, orange, and yellow-colored wildflower.

After listening to the story, children may make their own Indian Paintbrush flowers out of paper.

This program begins at 1:00 pm, and no reservations are required. The workshop is open to all ages and is free with Museum admission, which is free for kids. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
