Malcolm McDowell In New Social Media Image For MOZART IN THE JUNGLE
Amazon Performing arts-centric series Mozart in the Jungle was officially picked up following its audience popularity earlier this year, with the pilot episode featuring appearances by Broadway notables Bernadette Peters and CONSTANTINE Maroulis, among others, and a new social media image showcasing star Malcolm McDowell provides a tease of the upcoming December premiere.
The official Facebook page posted a pic of McDowell along with the caption, "Don't ever underestimate me. - Thomas #MozartInTheJungle".
Of note, Peters guest stars alongside Malcolm McDowell in the new series created by Broadway's own Alex Timbers along with film notables Paul Weitz, Roman Coppola and Jason Schwartzman, based on the book by Blair Tindall. The pilot also memorably featured Maroulis in a cameo role as hard-rocking musical theatre star.
The official description of Mozart in the Jungle is as follows: "Based on the memoir Mozart in the Jungle by Blair Tindall, Mozart in the Jungle is all about sex, drugs, and classical music. It shows that what happens behind the curtains at the symphony can be just as captivating as what happens on stage."
