Marisa Tomei's Broadway credits include The Rose Tattoo, The Realistic Joneses, Top Girls, and Salome. Off-Broadway includes Babe (Lucille Lortel Nomination, The New Group), How to Transcend a Happy Marriage (Lincoln Center Theater). Marie and Bruce (The New Group); Oh, the Humanity and other Good Intentions (The Flea); Slavs! (NYTW). Demonology (Playwrights Horizon) and Dark Rapture (Second Stage). Regional includes We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay! (A.R.T.); Design for Living, Rocket to the Moon (WTF). Film includes Rebecca Miller’s She Came To Me, My Cousin Vinny (Academy Award), The Wrestler (Academy Award nomination), In the Bedroom (Academy Award nomination), Love is Strange, The Big Short, & Spider-Man: Far From Home. Founding Member of the Naked Angels Theater Company. Most recently she appeared in Sissy at Baryshnikov Arts.



Her early appearances were in the soap opera As the World Turns (1983–1985) and the first season of the sitcom A Different World (1987). Tomei's other notable films include Chaplin (1992), The Paper (1994), What Women Want (2000), Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007), Wild Hogs (2007), The Wrestler (2008), The Ides of March (2011), Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), Parental Guidance (2012), The Big Short (2015), and The King of Staten Island (2020). She also portrayed May Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from Captain America: Civil War (2016) to Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
