Envelope Ensemble Launches Reading of SWEET DARKNESS & THE PLOT TO DESTROY EARTH on 10/19-20

Envelope Ensemble will launch Michael Perrie Jr.'s new sci-fi comedy Sweet Darkness & the Plot to Destroy Earth in a free open air reading directed by Joshua W. Kelley and produced by Charles Quittner. The reading will be held on October 19th at 4pm and October 20th at 8pm on the rooftop space of 126 Grattan St.

Sweet Darkness... is a backyard space odyssey drawn from the best of 60's sci-fi and contemporary roommate comedies. Sweet and Dark are two roommates on opposing ends of the 20-something experience, whose relationship gets even more complicated with the purchase of a boyfriend-bot and the crash-landing of two gay aliens. The reading will be held as close to space as we can possibly get- a Bushwick rooftop.

The cast will feature Maren Fischer, Rachel Lynn Jackson, Tom Vickers, Xalvador Tin-Bradbury, Noam Ash, and Shane Snider.

Like previous Envelope Ensemble offerings, booze will be provided so feel free to stay and chat after the show. Email cquitty@gmail.com to reserve your seat on the roof. More information can be found on envelopeensemble.com and on the facebook event page.
