The Public Theater Closes Soho Rep's Production of Nature Theater Production of OK's 'LIFE AND TIMES' - 2/2/2013

The Public Theater announced today that it will present the Soho Rep production of the American premiere of the Nature Theater of Oklahoma's LIFE AND TIMES: Episodes 1-4 as a special engagement of the 2013 Under the Radar Festival. Conceived and directed by Pavol Liska and Kelly Copper, the epic serial saga LIFE AND TIMES will run January 16 through February 2, 2013. The 2013 Under the Radar Festival will run January 9 through 20, 2013 at The Public Theater at Astor Place, 425 Lafayette Street.

Kelsey Grammer Hosts 65th DGA Awards - 2/2/2013

Directors Guild of America President Taylor Hackford and 65th Annual DGA Awards Dinner Chair Michael Stevens today announced that director/actor/producer Kelsey Grammer will host the 65th Annual DGA Awards on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles.

York Theatre Presents MARDI GRAS and THE LAST WORD - 2/2/2013

The York Theatre Company will present a developmental lab of two short operas, Mardi Gras and The Last Word both composed by Mildred Kayden. Directed by Bill Castellino and with music direction by Christopher McGovern, the 3-member company features Jason Mills, Rebecca Pitcher and Tom Souhrada. Performances are set for February 2 at 2:30pm & 8:00pm and February 3 at 2:30pm at The York Theatre Company in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Works by LaBute & More Play THEATRE UNCUT Off-Bway - 2/3/2013

The Carol Tambor Theatrical Foundation has announced the NY premiere of the critically-acclaimed THEATRE UNCUT, which features an evening of short plays from Neil LaBute , Lena Kitsopoulou, Anders Lustgarten, Marco Canale, and Clara Brennan. THEATRE UNCUT comes to NY as part of the Best of Edinburgh celebration at Theatre Row. Performances of THEATRE UNCUT begin on Tuesday, January 29 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 3 at The Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Manhattan Theatre Club announced that Bill Pullman ("1600 Penn;" The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?) will join the cast of The Other Place starting Tuesday, February 5 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Pullman will assume the role of Ian.

Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave Star in Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's THE REVISIONIST - 2/6/2013

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave will star in the world premiere of Eisenberg's The Revisionist, directed by Kip Fagan, which begins its limited run on Wednesday, February 6 and opens Thursday, February 21 at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The Revisionist is scheduled to run through March 31, 2013.

Film Society of Lincoln Center Presents LIFECASTERS - 2/6/2013

The event will take place at the Walter Reade Theater (165 West 65th Street) on Wednesday, February 6 at 6:30PM and will include the screenings as well as a live musical performance by MC5's Wayne Kramer, a subject of one of the films.

Singer and Composer Nathan Pacheco Comes to Mesa Arts Center - 2/8/2013
