MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET THE MUSICAL
RISING STAR PRODUCTIONS
11/29-12/20/2014
Kris Kringle takes on the cynics among us in this musical adaptation of the popular holiday favorite. In his inimitable style, Meredith Willson (THE MUSIC MAN, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN), tells us the classic story of the year. A white-bearded gentleman claiming to be the real Santa Claus brings about a genuine MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, spreading a wave of love throughout New York City, fostering camaraderie between Macy's and Gimbel's Department Stores, and convincing a divorced, cynical single mother, her somber daughter and the entire state of New York that Santa Claus is no myth.Filled with humor, spectacle (the opening scene takes place at none other than Macy's famous Thanksgiving Parade) and such beloved songs as "Pinecones and Hollyberries," "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" and "My State, My Kansas," this joyous, heart-warming musical is pure family entertainment, wholesome without being cloying. With its built-in audience base, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET THE MUSICAL is the perfect holiday treat for any theatre!

TINY TIM IS DEAD
Play Factory Theatre (formerly Playwrights' Theatre)
12/5-12/20/2014
Tiny Tim Is Dead - a West Coast Premiere play by Barbara Lebow. Directed by Zachariah Robinson. On a frigid Christmas Eve amidst cardboard shelters and trashcan hearths, five adults and a mute boy band together and give the only gift they can offer. "A Christmas Carol," as enacted by this ragtag group of vagrants who themselves might ask only for a little heat, leftover food and mittens. This irregular holiday tale is wickedly amusing and delicately poignant as it takes a wry and ironic look at a group of homeless people who form an unconventional family, related not by race, class or education, but by the same circumstances life has found them. A Christmas Carol like you've never seen before….

A CHRISTMAS CAROL
SPOKANE CIVIC THEATRE
11/19-12/21/2014
Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL gets the full Broadway treatment by Alan MenkenLynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent. This spectacular musical extravaganza ran for ten years at Madison Square Garden. In 2004, this version became the basis of an NBC Hallmark Entertainment special (teleplay adaptation by Lynn Ahrens) featuring Kelsey Grammer as Scrooge, and an array of stars including Jason Alexander, Jesse L. Martin, Jane Krakowski, Geraldine Chaplin, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ruthie Henshall. But even without starry casts and spectacular trappings, this A CHRISTMAS CAROL retains its emotional power and pure joy thanks to the marvelously told story and beautiful score.
