THE EAST Official Poster, Interactive Site Launched

THE EAST Official Poster, Interactive Site LaunchedAlexander Skarsgard, Brit Marling and Ellen Page feature prominently in the arresting new official poster for the upcoming drama film THE EAST.

Displaying stacks of masked heads above and below, Marling, Skarsgard and Page stare forth from the middle row, enshrined between rows of eerie, blank, white mask visaged persons unknown marked with a single foreboding word, "Guilty". So, then, who exactly are the innocent? We will have to wait and see.

The tagline reads, "Spy on us, we'll spy on you."

Directed by Zal Batmanglij, from a script co-written with Marling, having previously collaborated on the unique and compelling SOUND OF MY VOICE in 2011, THE EAST promises to be yet another visionary entry in the ever-growing film canon being created my Marling and Batmanglij following her work with Mike Cahill on the unique ANOTHER EARTH.

Additionally, a fascinating and highly interactive new web experience for THE EAST has been launched - titled WeAreTheEast - here.

The plot for the the upcoming thriller is described as the following: "In THE EAST, Sarah Moss (Marling) is a brilliant operative for an elite private intelligence firm whose top objective is to ruthlessly protect the interests of their A-list corporate clientele. She is assigned to go undercover to infiltrate an anarchist collective known for executing covert attacks upon major corporations. Living amongst them in an effort to get closer to their members, Sarah finds herself unexpectedly torn between two worlds as she starts to fall in love with the group's charismatic leader, finding her life and her priorities irrevocably changed."

Also of note, THE EAST played the SXSW (South By South West) film festival this weekend and received largely positive reactions from film fans and critics in attendance.
