Scoop: WHAT WOULD YOU DO? on ABC - Friday, July 31, 2015

When you think no one is watching… what would you do?  Whether people are compelled to act or mind their own business, John Quiñones reports on their split-second and often surprising decision-making process. “What Would You Do?” airs FRIDAY, JULY 31 (9:02-10:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Friday, July 31 scenarios include:

A young boy is talking to an empty chair at a café claiming he’s having a meal with his “friend.” When he asks bystanders to take a photo of the two of them, even going so far to ask for the picture to be retaken when he is unhappy with it, how will bystanders react?

An absent-minded waiter neglects to provide menus, delivers items that diners didn’t order, and then spends time telling them about his girlfriend troubles. How will the patrons react?

A pregnant woman meets up for the first time at a restaurant with a gay couple who wants to adopt her baby. How will other diners react when a female patron tries to talk her out of giving her baby to a same-sex couple?

What would you do if you witnessed two college kids putting a date rape drug in a girl’s drink? (OAD: 6/6/14)

When a controlling groom tags along with his bride while she chooses her wedding and bridesmaids dresses, criticizing his fiancé, her bridesmaids, and her dress choices, what will people do as they witness this “groomzilla” upset the bride’s plans? (OAD: 7/11/14)

“What Would You Do?” has won awards from the Chicago International Television Festival and the Avon Foundation’s 2006 Voice of Change award for exposing “injustice and wrongdoing against women and bringing the issue of domestic violence to the mainstream.”

Danielle Rossen is executive producer of “What Would You Do?”
