REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER continues its 14th season FRIDAY, JULY 29 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), exclusively on HBO. Allowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, the show includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists, and interviews with guests. Making his 12th appearance on REAL TIME, Vt. Sen. and recent presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is the top-of-show interview guest. Former Mass. Rep. Barney Frank is the mid-show interview guest. The roundtable guests are editor Alex Wagner, journalist Matt Welch and academic Cornel West.

Other HBO playdates: July 29 (midnight) and 31 (2:00 p.m.), and Aug. 2(4:15 p.m.), 3 (1:40 a.m.) and 4 (3:40 a.m.)

HBO2 playdates: July 29 (2:00 a.m.), 30 (7:40 a.m., 11:45 p.m.) and 31 (7:00 p.m.), and Aug. 2 (10:30 p.m.)

REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO and HBO On Demand.

In addition to its regular weekly show, REAL TIME expands its election coverage this month with special shows during the Republican and Democratic conventions, presenting four live half-hour editions from Los Angeles. Following last week's shows on the Republican convention, the show reports on the Democratic convention tonight, Wednesday, July 27, and Thursday, July 28 at 11:00 p.m. (ET)/8:00 p.m. (PT) both nights.

Politico has hailed Maher as "a pugnacious debater and a healthy corrective to the claptrap of cable news," while Variety noted, "There may not be a more eclectic guest list on all of television."

Maher headlined his first special on the network in 1989 and has starred in ten solo specials to date, including the hour-long presentations "Bill Maher: Live from D.C.," "Bill Maher...But I'm Not Wrong," "The Decider" and "I'm Swiss" (both nominated for an Emmy® in the Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special category), "Victory Begins at Home," "Be More Cynical," "The Golden Goose Special" and "Stuff That Struck Me Funny," and two half-hour stand-up specials, plus THE SPECIALS "30 Seconds Over Washington" and "Comic Relief VI™." Maher is also an executive producer of the innovative news magazine show "VICE," which recently concluded its fourth season.
