Scoop: FRESH OFF THE BOAT on ABC - Tuesday, April 26, 2016

“Hi, My Name Is…” – Evan is thrilled to open his first bank account, but is unsure if he should use his American name or his Chinese name on the account. This leads to Louis and Jessica revealing how each of them acquired their American names and reminiscing about the first time they met, on ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat,” airing on TUESDAY, APRIL 26 (8:00–8:30 p.m. EDT).

Inspired by a true story, “Fresh Off the Boat” stars Randall Park as Louis, Constance Wu as Jessica, Hudson Yang as Eddie, Forrest Wheeler as Emery, Ian Chen as Evan and Chelsey Crisp as Honey.

Guest starring are Ray Wise as Marvin, Stacey Scowley as Carol-Joan, Rachel Cannon as Deidre, J.B. Smoove (‘Date Night”) as Barry, Jalen Rose as Cool Louis, Amir Talai as Frank, Susan Park as Connie, Evan Hannemann as Barefoot Dave, Alan Blumenfield as Professor Roberts, Shaquille O’Neal as himself and Busta Rhymes as himself.

“Hi, My Name Is…” was written by Rachna Fruchbom and directed by Bill Purple.

“Fresh Off the Boat” was written by Nahnatchka Khan, who also serves as executive producer. Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar are also executive producers. The series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television.

It is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with 5.1 channel surround sound.
