On Monday, June 18 at 10/9C, EVIDENCE OF INNOCENCE and Attorney Benjamin Crump will follow Richard Miles' fight for freedom after being convicted and sentenced to life in prison.In 1994, 19-year-old Richard Miles was walking home when he was surrounded by police and accused of murder. After a swift conviction, he was sentenced to life at the Texas Department of Corrections, where the harsh realities of the legal system tested his faith. With the help of his father, the guidance of a prison mentor, and the strength of his religious principles, he continued to fight for his freedom from the inside. Richard found hope in an innocence organization as they made a commitment to vindicate him after he spent more than a decade behind bars. EVIDENCE OF INNOCENCE is hosted by acclaimed civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, with Emmy and NAACP Image Award winner Rushion McDonald of 3815 Media joining as the series executive producer and creator, in partnership with Jupiter Entertainment. Each one-hour episode focuses on one wrongfully convicted man or woman - Lisa Roberts, Richard Miles, Melonie Ware and Mark Schand - each faced with the enormous challenge of maintaining faith while awaiting the opportunity to prove their innocence.
