DISGRACED at the Lyceum Begins Previews Tonight - 9/27/2014

Producers confirmed today that the Pulitzer Prize winning play DISGRACED by Ayad Akhtar will have a Broadway production this fall, beginning previews onSeptember 27 and opening on October 23 at the Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45th Street. In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, DISGRACED received Obie and Joseph Jefferson Awards.

THE WAYSIDE MOTOR IN at Signature Theatre Closes Today - 9/28/2014

Signature Theatre has announced a one-week extension for THE WAYSIDE MOTOR INN by A.R. Gurney, directed by Lila Neugebauer. The production will now play through Sunday, September 28, 2014. THE WAYSIDE MOTOR INN begins performances on Tuesday, August 12 and opens Thursday, September 4 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Limited $25 subsidized tickets remain for the production's initial run. Tickets during the extension week start at $55 each.

The Historic North Theatre in Danville, Virginia will be showing "The Italian Job" movie on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 7:00 PM. This is the great action adventure film starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, Donald Sutherland, Jason Statham, Edward Norton and featuring the famous Mini Coopers. Julianna di Giacomo Takes Over Lead Role in San Francisco Opera's UN BALLO IN MASCHERA - 10/4/2014

San Francisco Opera today announced a cast change for the Company's revival of Giuseppe Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera (A Masked Ball), presented October 4 -22, 2014 at the War Memorial Opera House. Bulgarian soprano Krassimira Stoyanova, who was to have made her Company debut as Amelia for the first six performances of the run, has withdrawn from the production for health reasons. American soprano Julianna di Giacomo, originally scheduled to sing Amelia on October 22, will now sing the role for all seven performances. She makes her San Francisco Opera debut and role debut with this production.
