Jim Parsons

Jim Parsons began his career in Off-Broadway productions and appeared in television roles including Judging Amy and Ed. He appeared in a Quiznos commercial in 2003 and had minor film roles in Garden State and School for Scoundrels.

Parsons achieved his breakthrough in 2007 when he was cast as Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, a role he played through the show’s conclusion in 2019. During this period, he also appeared in films including The Big Year and The Muppets. On stage, he appeared in the Broadway revival of Harvey in 2012 and in The Normal Heart in 2014. He voiced the lead character in the animated film Home and starred in the Broadway play An Act of God. He also appeared in the film Hidden Figures and starred in the Broadway revival of The Boys in the Band in 2018, later reprising the role in the 2020 film adaptation The Boys in the Band.

In addition to acting, Parsons co-founded That’s Wonderful Productions in 2015 and served as an executive producer on television projects including Young Sheldon, which he also narrated. In 2020, he portrayed Henry Willson in the Netflix limited series Hollywood. He starred in the film Spoiler Alert and appeared in stage productions including A Man of No Importance in 2022, Mother Play in 2024, and the Broadway revival of Our Town.
