Camille A. Brown Biography
Brown's work has been seen on Broadway with Once On This Island (nominee: Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Chita Rivera Awards) and A Streetcar Named Desire.Off-Broadway, she's worked on Toni Stone (May 2019), This Ain’t No Disco, Bella: An American Tall Tale (Lucille Lortel Award nominee), Fortress of Solitude (Lucille Lortel Award nominee), Cabin in the Sky (Encores! City Center); and tick, tick… BOOM! (Encores! City Center) starring Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Brown has worked regionally on Oh-Blah-Dee (Two River Theater); The Wiz (Muny); ink (The Kennedy Center); Bella and Stagger Lee (Dallas Theatre Center), and she choreographed NBC's “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.â€
In 2012, she was the recipient of The Mariam McGlone Emerging Choreographer Award from Wesleyan University and a Princess Grace Award Winning Choreographer.

The seven-time Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Ntozake Shange’s for colored girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf will have a special American Sign Language performance on Tuesday, May 31, following the success of the first ASL signed performance the production had on April 15, 2022.
