HELL'S KITCHEN to Play Broadway in Columbus for First Time
Michael Greif directs the Tony-winning production, with choreography by Camille A. Brown and a book by Kristoffer Diaz.
Hell's Kitchen will make its Columbus premiere at the Ohio Theatre June 15-20, 2027, as part of the Broadway in Columbus season.
The Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical, featuring the music of 17-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys, will play eight performances during the engagement. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 21 at 10 a.m.
Hell's Kitchen is directed by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (Rent, Dear Evan Hansen, The Notebook) and features choreography by five-time Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown and a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz.
The musical follows Ali, a 17-year-old girl searching for freedom, passion and her place in the world. Along the way, she encounters a musical mentor who changes her life, her family and the neighborhood that helps shape her. The score features Keys' hits alongside new songs written for the musical.
Hell's Kitchen won two Tony Awards and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. The production is currently playing on Broadway at the Shubert Theatre.
The creative team also includes scenic designer Robert Brill, Costume Designer Dede Ayite, lighting designer Natasha Katz, sound designer Gareth Owen, projection designer Peter Nigrini, hair and wig designer Mia Neal and makeup designer Michael Clifton. Monet serves as associate director, with Ricky Tripp as associate choreographer. Casting is by Heidi Griffiths, CSA and Kate Murray, CSA.
The music team includes orchestrations by Tom Kitt and Adam Blackstone, arrangements by Alicia Keys and Blackstone and music consulting by Kitt. Lily Ling is associate music supervisor, and Emily Orr serves as music director for the tour.
Aaron Lustbader serves as executive producer, with Mandy Hackett as consulting producer.
Tickets start at $41.78 and go on sale Friday, August 21 at 10 a.m.
