Antony and Cleopatra in Broadway ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA
California Lutheran University - Kingsmen Park
Shakespeare's classic historical tragedy focuses on the great love story of the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and the Roman general Marc Antony. The Kingsmen production is set in the fascist world of the 1930s amid a clash of cultures and a treacherous world of shifting alliances. It is an intimate epic full of variety that resonates today. Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is the professional theatre company of CLU. The nonprofit organization coordinates apprentice programs for professional and aspiring Shakespearean actors, an educational tour program in local schools, and summer theater camps for youth. General admission is $20 for adults and free for those under 18. Parking is available in the lot at the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.

Thousand Oaks Philharmonic: OPUS 40 in Broadway THOUSAND OAKS PHILHARMONIC: OPUS 40
Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre
The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic, was founded in December of 2000 as a California registered non-profit educational organization, with its foremost purpose being to provide exceptional music students in the area with an opportunity to be featured as soloists with a professional orchestra. Because of the resounding success of the first concert, the community interest, and a desire to give as many students as possible this remarkable opportunity, additional concerts were added to the season, and now three concerts per year are scheduled. The greater-Ventura County area is rich in talent, with an unusually high concentration of young artist-level musicians living in our midst. Perhaps it is no coincidence that our schools graduate some of the highest-ranking and well-prepared students in the state, and their level of achievement in other fields naturally mirrors those results. Come to a concert to be inspired, amazed and entertained!
