JoJo Siwa began her career as a contestant on the second season of Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition (2013), where she placed in the top five. She joined the cast of Dance Moms after auditioning in 2014 and became a member of the ALDC competition team in 2015.
In 2016, Siwa released the singles “Boomerang” and “I Can Make U Dance.” She also launched a branded hair-bow line in collaboration with Claire’s the same year. In 2017, she signed with Nickelodeon and appeared in the television film Blurt! (2018) and the series Lip Sync Battle Shorties (2017–2018). In 2018, she partnered with J.C. Penney to release branded merchandise, including accessories, home décor, and a doll, and announced her first major concert tour, D.R.E.A.M. The Tour (2019).
Siwa competed on The Masked Singer season three in 2020 and appeared as a playable character in the video games Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix (2020) and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway (2022). In 2021, she competed on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars, finishing as runner-up. In 2022, she served as a judge on season 17 of So You Think You Can Dance and hosted iHeartRadio’s Can’t Cancel Pride event. She also starred in the Facebook Watch series JoJo Goes (2022).
In 2023, Siwa appeared on America’s Got Talent season 17 in connection with the pop group XOMG Pop and performed on the CBS special Dick Van Dyke: 98 Years of Magic. She returned as a judge for season 18 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2024. That year, she released the single “Karma” and her fourth EP, Guilty Pleasure (2024). A single from the EP, “Choose Ur Fighter,” was released in 2025.
In 2025, Siwa released a cover of “Bette Davis Eyes” on social media platforms and debuted a new visual presentation in its accompanying music video.
