BIO
Alexia Tate refers to herself as a "drag queen trapped in a woman's body." Bust magazine has said, "[she] is an immaculate queen... She's so perfectly feminine, in fact, that it's almost hard to believe she is a real woman." Performing in New York City venues for over a decade (including a 14-month exclusive engagement at the historic Stonewall Inn), Alexia has dipped her creative toes in a variety of entertainment pools.
Whether emceeing a burlesque show on the Lower East Side or calling Mexican Bingo in the West Village, giving an answer in the form of a question on “Jeopardy!” or playing it straight in indie theater, Alexia receives praise for her "vivacious charm," "star quality," and "sweet nature." Alexia holds the titles of Miss Gothic NYC 1999, and Honorary Miss NYC for Female Impersonators 2008.
