RYAN MCMAHON

BIO:
My name is Ryan McMahon.I’m a Canadian musician located in a small town on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.I’ve toured the country 15 times, playing the best & the worst rooms our nation has to offer. I’ve shared the stage with everyone from Lisa Loeb to Nickelback. Most of my live performances are solo acoustic shows, where I try my hardest to make as much noise as one 5? 9 Irish/Italian can. My main influences include Neil Young, Warren Zevon & Eddie Vedder. I surround myself with the work of many singer/songwriters, but I’ve also been known to spin good, honest country music, some vintage punk and under the right boozy moon, some James Brown as well. Performing and recording music truly isn’t a choice for me; it’s always been a compulsion. Like the perfect itch one just has to scratch, over & over. Today, it’s almost 2013, and I’m currently shifting focus and abandoning old ideologies connected with the music industry. I’m now concerned with recording my songs in a ‘home-made’ setting and performing for whomever will listen, wherever I possibly can. Thanks for hearing.
