BIO
Sadie Sink began performing in theater at a young age, appearing in productions at Theater Under the Stars including White Christmas (2011) and Annie (2012). She made her Broadway debut in the 2012 revival of Annie, initially serving as a standby for several roles before alternating in the title role from July 2013 until the production closed in January 2014. During this period, she made her television debut with a guest appearance on the FX series The Americans (2013), followed by a role on Blue Bloods (2014). In 2015, she appeared as Suzanne Ballard in the NBC drama series American Odyssey and returned to Broadway as the young Queen Elizabeth II in The Audience, starring opposite Helen Mirren. Sink made her film debut in the sports biographical drama Chuck (2016).
Her breakthrough came when she was cast as Maxine “Max” Mayfield in the Netflix science-fiction series Stranger Things, first appearing in the second season in 2017 and continuing in later seasons, including the widely acclaimed fourth season in 2022. During this period, she also appeared in films including The Glass Castle (2017) and Eli (2019). In 2021, Sink starred as Ziggy Berman in the horror film Fear Street Part Two: 1978 and reprised the role in Fear Street Part Three: 1666 (2021). That same year, she appeared opposite Dylan O’Brien in All Too Well: The Short Film (2021), written and directed by Taylor Swift.
In 2022, Sink appeared in the drama The Whale, starring opposite Brendan Fraser, and also led the film Dear Zoe (2022). She continued her film career with roles in A Sacrifice (2024) and the rock opera film O’Dessa. In 2025, she returned to Broadway in the play John Proctor Is the Villain, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Play.
Sink is scheduled to make her West End debut in 2026 in Robert Icke’s production of Romeo and Juliet, playing Juliet. She has also been cast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026), with plans to reprise the role in Avengers: Secret Wars (2027). Additionally, she will serve as an executive producer on the film adaptation of John Proctor Is the Villain.
