MTC directorial credits include The Little Foxes, The Country House, The Snow Geese, The Columnist, Lost Lake, Accent on Youth, Good People, Time Stands Still, Rabbit Hole, After the Night and the Music, Brooklyn Boy, Sight Unseen, Psycopathia Sexualis, and Proof.
He has directed over 30 Broadway productions and at least as many Off-Broadway, including ten for The Public Theater's Shakespeare in he Park. He served as Artistic Director of Seattle Repertory Theatre from 1981-97. He is the Swanlund Professor of Theatre at University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Kwame Kwei-Armah Named Artistic Advisor of Manhattan Theatre Club

Kwame Kwei-Armah will become Artistic Advisor at Manhattan Theatre Club beginning in the 2023-24 season. Kwei-Armah, who will remain in his role as Artistic Director of the Young Vic in London, will work with Meadow and the MTC artistic staff, advising on programming and future planning.

Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director and Barry Grove, Executive Producer)'s world premiere of Summer, 1976 has announced an additional one-week extension. Summer, 1976 will now play through Sunday, June 18 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
