Bishop has served as Producing Artistic Director of Lincoln Center Theater since July 2013, and first joined the organization as Artistic Director in January 1992.  His departure in June 2025 will coincide with the close of Lincoln Center Theater’s 40th anniversary season.

White Heron Theatre Company of Nantucket will open it's first production of the 2023 summer season, Blithe Spirit, by Noël Coward (Present Laughter, Private Lives) and directed by Skip Greer. Greer returns to Nantucket after directing 2017's Outside Mullingar for White Heron.

BroadwayWorld has learned that real-life married couple Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker will come to Broadway in Neil Simon's Plaza Suite following an out of town run at Boston's Colonial Theatre - where the 1968 production also originated, before a 17 week run on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre with previews set to being in March. The production will be directed by John Benjamin Hickey.

On May 5th, Auctions at Showplace will present the first of two auctions featuring items from the collection of celebrated stage and screen actor, Ron Rifkin. A native New Yorker, Rifkin, has garnered acclaim for his work on and off Broadway including a 1998 Tony Award for his performance as Herr Schultz in the musical revival of Cabaret. Acclaimed singer/actress Gina Gershon makes her Cafe Carlyle debut with Wild Women Don't Get the Blues, June 5-16. Gina Gershon has enjoyed a successful and diverse career in entertainment, earning acclaim as a film, television and stage actor, as a singer/songwriter/musician and most recently as an author. Gershon's prolific film career began when she landed her first speaking role with a memorable turn in John Hughes' box office hit Pretty in Pink. Some of her previous roles in film include Paul Verhoeven's Showgirls, the Wachowskis' Bound, Red Heat opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, Cocktail opposite Tom Cruise, John Sayles's City of Hope, Robert Altman's The Player, the John Woo blockbuster Face/Off opposite John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, and Michael Mann's Oscar-nominated The Insider opposite Al Pacino and Christopher Plummer. The second show of Mosaic Theater's Season Three, Vicu a & The American Epilogue, has been officially extended through December 3. Written by Jon Robin Baitz (Other Desert Cities; TV's Brothers & Sisters, and Feud Season 2) and directed by Robert Egan, this Trump-inspired satire stars John de Lancie (Star Trek, Breaking Bad) as a real estate mogul about to enter the final presidential debate of the 2016 campaign. It is followed by a haunting post-script set 12 years into the future assessing the state of the nation and all that's been wrought in the election's wake.
