Hawaii Theatre Center
Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association takes to the Hawaii Theatre stage to celebrate their 55th year anniversary and 3rd annual fundraiser CABARET III by presenting Jack Cione's "Mardi Gras Follies 2014"! Having directed the Pearl Harbor Mardi Gras Follies for 25 years and the Arcadia Follies for 9 years, Mr. Cione's current production, with an accent on comedy and dance, features a talented cast of 75+ in lavish Las Vegas styled costumes of feathers, bangles, and bling. The show is highlighted with HBDA ballroom dancers performing bolero, cha-cha, rumba, swing, and waltz routines choreographed by HBDA instructors who were chosen by Mr. Cione for this opportunity to perform in the Follies, after appearing in their 55th Anniversary Ball.

Clybourne Park in Broadway CLYBOURNE PARK
Manoa Valley Theatre
Written in response to Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun (1959), the play portrays fictional events set before and after the Hansberry play and is loosely based on historical events. It explodes in two outrageous acts set fifty years apart. The first, in 1959, reveals nervous community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. The second, set in the same house in the present day, shows the now predominantly African-American neighborhood as it battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification.
