Jonathan Groff on Starring in Broadway's FROZEN 'I'm Not as Hot as My Character'

Jonathan Groff on Starring in Broadway's FROZEN 'I'm Not as Hot as My Character'In a recent interview with Fortune magazine,Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the hit Disney animated film FROZEN, which features voice overs from Broadway stars Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, will soon be adapted to the stage.

Speculation has already begun as to who would take on the roles of the beloved cartoon characters and which, if any, of the Broadway stars who lent their voices to the film, would reprise their roles in a live musical.

Jonathan Groff, who voiced rugged mountain man 'Kristoff' in the film, has already confirmed he would not be a part of the project. The actor recently told Vulture that while he'd love to reprise his role, he didn't think he was the right physical match to his cartoon alter ego.

"I would, but I'm not as hot as my cartoon character [...] It would be a big letdown," explained the 'Looking' star. "I'm not blond or six-foot-five."

However the actor did offer a caveat to his decision, adding that he would consider joining the Broadway cast "If they let me sing "Let It Go."

Groff appeared on Broadway in Spring Awakening and is also well known for his GLEE character, Jesse St. James. He will soon be seen in HBO's adaptation of Larry Kramer's 'The Normal Heart.'
