Fitness Tip of the Day: The Rain Won't Melt You

Unless you're the Wicked Witch of the West, the rain won't melt you. Running in the rain can actually be refreshing as long as it's not down pouring, which often results in chafing, blisters, and uncomfortable, soaked shoes and clothes.

Protect yourself from chafing and blistering by applying a few dabs of vaseline or anti-chafing cream to your heels, underarms, thighs, and anywhere you might be susceptible to chafe.

Be sure not to overdress and wear clothes made of moisture-wicking material, not cotton. You may want to also wear a running hat to avoid extra rain in your eyes and add heat to your body.
