The 88th Annual Drama League Awards will be presented in person at The Ziegfeld Ballroom on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 12:00PM. The 2022 Awards will recognize eligible Broadway and Off-Broadway (non-virtual only) productions that began preview performances between March 16, 2021, and April 23, 2022.

As the hit West End show Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Sam Mendes, approaches its second anniversary, producers today announced the cast that will take it into its third year. Alongside Jonathan Slinger as Willy Wonka will be Kraig Thornber (Grandpa George), Lara Denning (Mrs Bucket) and Mark Oxtoby (Jerry), among other new names. Previews began on September 14 for the RTC presentation of Tony Award winner Douglas Hodge as "Cyrano" in a new Broadway production of Cyrano de Bergerac. Clemence Poesy will make her Broadway debut as "Roxane" and Broadway veteran Patrick Page will play 'Comte De Guiche.' The show will open officially on October 11, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre and run through November 25, 2012.
