Review: & JULIET at Dr. Phillips Center For The Performing Arts
by Albert Gutierrez - Jan 8, 2026

If “& Juliet” works at all, it’s because it commits to the premise without apology: a Shakespearean remix told through the lens of pop music, meta-theatre, and a general belief that stories never really die, they just get re-written. This touring production of the still-running Broadway musical leaned into this ethos with a cast that understood the assignment – treating the material with enough sincerity to make it land, but enough wryness to make it feel like commentary.

Review: & JULIET at ASU Gammage
by Herbert Paine - Nov 5, 2025

In the Tony-nominated musical & Juliet, it’s as if William Shakespeare was handed a bedazzled microphone and told to start writing Romeo and Juliet all over again, only this time he should make it a fizzy, whirling pop fantasia that pulses with enough pop/rock earworms to play in your head on an endless loop for days.

Review: & JULIET A Must-See At Broadway San Jose
by Linda Hodges - Oct 9, 2025

What did our critic think of & JULIET AT BROADWAY SAN JOSE NOW THRU OCTOBER 12 at Broadway San Jose? Playing now through October 12 at Broadway San Jose, & Juliet is a much-needed confection of mayhem, laughter and empowerment all delivered by one of the most professional casts and creative teams I've seen in a long time.
Review: & JULIET Is Revisionist, Gleeful Fun at OC's Segerstrom Center
by Michael Quintos - Sep 15, 2025

Fresh off its sit-down engagement at Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre, the new(-ish) 2022 Broadway jukebox musical & JULIET is finally making its long-awaited pit-stop an hour south of L.A. at OC's Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa through September 21, 2025. Unabashedly gleeful and quite a broad crowd-pleaser, this fun, empowering, and infectiously giddy musical is, simply put, such an endearing, delightful surprise. Featuring thrilling visuals, a uniformly talented, likable cast, a wonderfully silly yet still aspirational premise, and a long list of ear worm bops that weave seamlessly into its organized mayhem, this entertaining tongue-in-cheek stage show is, hands down, this reviewer’s favorite touring direct-from-Broadway production of 2025 so far by a mile.

BroadwayWorld talks with Teal Wicks, who plays Anne Hathaway in & Juliet, about what it was like to turn the classic Shakespeare tragedy into a 2 1/2 hour musical party featuring one hit song after another.
Review: & JULIET at Ahmanson Theatre
by Evan Henerson - Sep 2, 2025

& JULIET proves rather emphatically that nobody really needs an original idea or song when you can just as easily get folks rocking out to Britney Spears or Katy Perry.
