(5/14/2018) - When patrons walk into Orlando Repertory Theatre (Orlando REP) they'll find a transformed, imaginative space thanks to a public-private partnership that funded the remodeling of the theatre's main lobby. The Florida Blue Lobby is to be revealed Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 8 a.m. With work surpassing $300,000, the renovation includes a new custom-designed floor, merchandise carts, a video wall, and eco-friendly, custom LED lighting fixtures. The project was made possible by a leading gift from the Florida Blue Foundation and matched by the Orange County Arts and Cultural Affairs Cultural Facilities program.

(4/16/2018) -      'Bird Call' is a series that consists of a diverse flock of birds (an owl, dodo, canary, chicken, crowned pigeon, etc.) who run a radio station in the backyard of the human Wally Zutman. The show is set in Peach Pit, Connecticut in the suburbs on Jaybird Street. The birds keep their distance from the humans for it's against the Bird Union Code to speak to them; with the exception of parrots and parakeets due to the 'Pirate Parrot Parakeet Massacre' of 1776. The Bird Union Code: 'We are birds of a feather and we must flock together!'

(3/14/2018) - Dr. Phillips Center celebrates Pi Day by revealing the two little girls chosen for their big break in the critically acclaimed Broadway musical WAITRESS at Dr. Phillips Center.  Delainey Silvestro, age 5, and Ella Helton, also age 5, will make their professional debut on the Walt Disney Theater stage next week. The girls visited the arts center for a tour of the theater and dressing rooms. Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, recent star of the Broadway production of WAITRESS, was in town to perform his Solo Acoustic tour at Dr. Phillips Center and took a moment from his sound check to meet the pint-sized pixies.  Mraz played Dr. Pomatter in a limited engagement in the musical at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre through February 11, 2018.
