He also won Best Lighting Design at the BroadwayWorld Awards for Allegiance and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Binkley earned the Tony Award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical for both Hamilton and Jersey Boys. Additionally, he was recognized with Outstanding Lighting Design at The Lortels for Hamilton and received Outstanding Lighting Design honors from the Outer Critics Circle Awards twice for Jersey Boys. He also won the Lighting Design award at The Hewes Awards for Jersey Boys. His work on Sweeney Todd, The Full Monty, Tempest, Macbeth, and Richard III garnered Outstanding Lighting Design, Resident Production awards at the Helen Hayes Awards and Drama Desk Awards.
