Set firmly in, and often about, New York, Company follows five married, once married, or soon to be married couples and their mutual friend, Robert, a 35-year old bachelor who has been unable to connect in a long-term relationship. Bobby observes the less than ideal aspects of commitment. But, eventually, learns that while relationships aren't perfect, they are a necessary part of "Being Alive." Includes the songs "Getting Married Today," "The Ladies Who Lunch," and "Being Alive."

The ?Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is the recipient of a generous grant of $125,000 from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (DDCF) through the foundation's new Theatre Commissioning and Production Initiative. The grant will support the production of playwright Lynn Nottage's Sweat and a future commission by Ms. Nottage. Sweat is commissioned through OSF's American Revolutions: the United States History Cycle and will premiere at OSF on August 2, 2015 and run through October 31. (more...)

The Old Globe today announced it will open its 2015-2016 Season with In Your Arms, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). Co-conceived by Gattelli and Jennifer Manocherian, In Your Arms features 10 dance vignettes written by an incredible and diverse lineup of theatre powerhouses, including Douglas Carter Beane, Nilo Cruz, Christopher Durang, Carrie Fisher, David Henry Hwang, Rajiv Joseph, Terrence McNally, Marsha Norman, Lynn Nottage, and Alfred Uhry. Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2014 was $30.1 million compared to $29.4 million for the third quarter of 2014 and $32.3 million for the fourth quarter of 2013. Net loss for the fourth quarter of 2014, calculated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”), was $2.1 million or $0.06 per share compared with net loss of $2.7 million or $0.08 per share for the third quarter of 2014 and net income of $1.4 million or $0.04 per share for the fourth quarter of 2013. Adjusted earnings before stock-based compensation, interest, taxes, and depreciation (“adjusted EBITDA”) was an adjusted EBITDA loss of $1.7 million for the fourth quarter of 2014, compared to an adjusted EBITDA loss of $2.2 million for the third quarter of 2014 and an adjusted EBITDA profit of $1.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2013. Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2015 first quarter ended December 27, 2014. The Company posted record quarterly revenue of $74.6 billion and record quarterly net profit of $18 billion, or $3.06 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $57.6 billion and net profit of $13.1 billion, or $2.07 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 39.9 percent compared to 37.9 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 65 percent of the quarter's revenue. (more...)
